AI Tattoo Generator & AR Preview App for iPhone

Tatoo is an iOS application that allows users to preview their desired tattoo on their body before getting it permanently inked. Using the iPhone camera, the app displays selected or AI-generated tattoo designs in real time and at actual scale, enabling users to visualize the final result without printing or imagining the design. We contributed to the application's design preview and image-handling functionality.

The Challenge

The client wanted an application that would allow users to preview tattoo designs on their bodies using augmented reality before making a final decision. The proposed solution included a tattoo design library, real-time AR-based camera preview, adjustable tattoo sizing for a realistic experience, and a scalable backend system to efficiently manage tattoo designs and user data.

What We Delivered

Our Approach

Our standard six-step delivery process was utilized with customizations as per the specificities of developing an AI fintech solution for two native platforms:

01. Design & Planning

Designed the application's UI/UX and planned the overall user experience. Created the initial tattoo design library using templates provided by the client.

02. Firebase Configuration

Configured Firebase to securely store and manage tattoo designs and application data.

03. Tattoo Library Integration

Integrated the tattoo design library, allowing users to browse and select designs directly within the app.

04. Real-Time Camera AR Preview

Developed the augmented reality camera experience that overlays selected tattoo designs onto the user's body for a realistic, live preview.

05. AI Customization

Implemented AI-assisted tools for resizing and positioning tattoo designs, making it easier for users to personalize and finalize their selections.

06. Deployment

Deployed the application and developed the Firebase backend for secure data storage and efficient tattoo image management.
