The client provided the first batch of tattoo design templates and reference images which will be used to populate the initial library of designs of the app along with the user experience required to navigate and preview them.
Firebase was set up as the backbone of the app — storing data and hosting images and all necessary infrastructure required to upload and fetch design images.
The tattoo design images were uploaded on the app and made available for the users to browse and preview.
We developed the basic preview system: now users are able to visualize a tattoo in a form of an image overlapped by the live camera feed allowing them to see how a specific design would look when applied to their skin.
To ensure that the design looks natural and not like something that is glued to the body we provided the functionality to resize a tattoo up and down (max/min) via an AI-assisted process.
Once a user was satisfied with the placement, resizing, and overall look of the design he/she could lock it.
After development was completed, DevConex continued to offer backend support where necessary, ensuring that the Firebase infrastructure, image handling, and app performance were maintained.
